16 DAY KIMBERLEY 4WD TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Broome to Naiper range

The Kimberley tour starts off with being collected in the early morning from your accommodation by your guide. Today, we drive from Broome to Derby to visit the boat at present tree, which is estimated to be about 1000 years old. We then proceed to the Mowajum Art Gallery to learn about the culture before driving down to Windjana Gorge for a short afternoon walk. From here, it's only a short drive to our evening's accommodation in a remote location specially arranged for us.
Due to the wild weather of 2023, one of the itineraries may be subject to change, particularly considering the status of the national parks in this region.

Day 2: Napier range to Larawa Station

After a peaceful night, sleep, and remote bush camp, we leave to start an early morning adventure going into Tunnel Creek, a 350 million-year-old, (the name would suggest) tunnel, carved through the Devonian reef system That also makes up the Windjana gorge. From tunnel Creek, we then drive down to the great Northern highway and continue along the highway to Larawa Station for a beautiful night under the stars.

Day 3: larawa Station to Purnululu National Park (bungle, bungle’s)

Today we set out for the world Heritage listed Purnululu National Park why are the old Halls Creek town site., A moderate highway drive in the morning, followed by a gruelling three hour drive on the scenic 53 km track into the National Park.

Day 4: Purnululu National Park

A whole day in the National Park today, starting with a beautiful sunrise and early morning walk followed by a truly unforgettable helicopter Experience over the beehive domes to finish the morning off. after lunch, we head to the north side of the park to look at the amazing echidna chasm, and a special evening to watch the day end.

Day 5: panel Lulu National Park to Bush camp*

This morning, we wake up with the birds and go on an optional extra walk to continue the experience. After morning tea, we had out of the park and head north, past the famous Bow River, towards Kununurra before making our way to yet another special/private bush camp arrangement.

*due to unusual seasonal rain this accommodation may be changed to Kununurra township, until our camp has opened

Day 6: bush Camp to lake Argyle

An iconic sightseeing day as we make our way through to Lake Argyle. The Ord River irrigation scheme, built in the 60s, is the first stop as we have a look at some of the special shops that have sprung from this Inspirational development. Arriving at Lake Argyle in time for the evening.

Day 7: Lake Argyle to El Questro Main Station

Early morning start to avoid the flies give us a head start on the day. Today, we travel to the iconic El Questro Station, via an Ord river cruise. And a special stop along the way, befor arriving at El Questro for the evenings events.

Day 8: el Questro Main Station activities

Today, your guide will take you on an extraordinary adventure around the El Questro Station. Depending on the season and weather conditions, there will be at least one walk of a medium to hard grade, followed by a swim in one of the many waterholes and a relaxing afternoon at the Station area.

Day 9: questro Main Station to Elenbrae station

This morning, a gentle wake up, followed by a early morning River Cruise on the Chamberlain River. Next, we continue along the famous Gibb River Road, looking at iconic rivers, such as the Pentecost and the Durack followed by a special evening at the Elenbrae Homestead.

Day 10: elenbrae station to Mitchell Falls

Another beautiful way to start the day, rising with the birds, following breakfast we drive along the hardest section of the Gibb River Road towards Mitchell Falls. Stopping at the Gibb River Crossing, and moving along to Munurru for a look at some of the rock art in the area and a swim before lunch. After lunch, we had to the Mitchell Falls area.

Day 11: Mitchell Falls walk

Today, with an early start to beat the heat, we walk the 3.5km Mitchell Falls track out to the ever beautiful Punamii-Unnpuu. ( Mitchell Falls) enjoy more remarkable examples of aboriginal rock art and a swim at the top of the Falls before a complimentary scenic helicopter ride back to the car park for a relaxing afternoon at camp.

Day 12: Mitchell Falls to Mt Barnett station

Today, with an early start to beat the heat, we walk the 3.5km Mitchell Falls track out to the ever beautiful Punamii-Unnpuu. ( Mitchell Falls) enjoy more remarkable examples of aboriginal rock art and a swim at the top of the Falls before a complimentary scenic helicopter ride back to the car park for a relaxing afternoon at camp.

Day 13: Mt Barnett station to Adcock Gorge

Today, with an early start to beat the heat, we walk the 3.5km Mitchell Falls track out to the ever beautiful Punamii-Unnpuu. ( Mitchell Falls) enjoy more remarkable examples of aboriginal rock art and a swim at the top of the Falls before a complimentary scenic helicopter ride back to the car park for a relaxing afternoon at camp.

Day 14: adcock, Gorge to Bush camp

By now you will have realised that bush camp is a very light term for how amazing our camp setups are. This day is about exploring the area and open to the guide’s discretion of where they end up for the night. We like to leave this open, so you get the real feel of adventure. The options are endless at this point.

Day 15: Mt Barnett station to Adcock Gorge

Today, not an overly long drive. On our way out to Mt Heart is Wilderness Lodge, where you will be greeted and taken on an afternoon adventure.

Day 16: Mt heart to broome

Today I last day together as we finish the journey from Mt Heart station to our last dinner together in Broome. The final day has the best surprise.
