PERTH TO ALICE SPRINGS ITINERARY
Day 1: perth to Hyden
Today, we embark on our exciting adventure, setting off from Perth in the morning. Our journey begins as we travel east towards the charming town of York, Western Australia’s first inland settlement, where we stop for a delightful morning tea. York's historic buildings and scenic Avon River make it a perfect start to our trip.
Continuing our journey, we drive through the picturesque wheat belt, passing through the heart of Western Australia's agricultural region. Our next stop is the small town of Corrigin, known for its fascinating Dog Cemetery, a unique tribute to man's best friend, and an interesting insight into local history.
Next to Hyden, a little-known country town that boasts the famous Wave Rock. A 2.7 billion-year-old granite rock, is shaped like a massive breaking wave and offers numerous photo opportunities. We will have plenty of time to walk around and explore its many features, including Hippo’s Yawn, another intriguing rock formation nearby.

Day 2: Hyde to bush camp (Kalgoorlie, Boulder)
After a restful night under the stars, we set off from Hyden towards Kalgoorlie. Our journey today takes us through some of Western Australia's most iconic landscapes and historical sites.
Next, we travel to the historic town of Coolgardie, known as the birthplace of the great gold rush in the 1890s. Here, we will visit the Coolgardie Museum, which showcases fascinating artifacts and stories from the gold rush era.
In the early afternoon, we arrive in Kalgoorlie. This vibrant town is steeped in mining history and offers a wealth of experiences. We will have time to visit the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Museum, where you can learn about the rich heritage of the area and see impressive gold nuggets.

Super Pit: Witness one of the largest open-cut gold mines
Day 3: Bush camp, gold hunters
We begin our day with a visit to the iconic Super Pit, one of the largest open-cut gold mines in the world. This impressive site offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into the scale of gold mining operations in the region.
After the super pit, we take a short drive in the afternoon to our next bush camp location, where the real adventure begins. Here, we will spend the rest of the day prospecting for gold. Equipped with gold detectors, you will have the opportunity to find what has made this area famous for over a hundred years.
On this tour, we guarantee that you will find gold. If not, we will refund you half the price of your tour. Gold prospecting can be quite taxing, so make sure to drink plenty of water and wear your hat for protection from the sun.

Due to the unpredictable nature of finding gold, this activity can take between three and six hours. We will start early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. If you choose to stop looking for gold, that is okay; however, you will forfeit the guarantee.
After everyone has had the chance to find some gold, we will have dinner and relax around the fire, where you can share your stories of the day's adventures.

Day 4: bush camp to Bush camp
Today, we embark on a journey along the Great Central Highway, a route known for its unique features and stunning landscapes. Our day is filled with stops for photo opportunities and spontaneous explorations, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the outback.
We start on smooth highway terrain, but as we progress, we transition to more rugged off-road conditions. Some sections can get quite rough, providing a true outback experience. Our aim is to reach somewhere near Warburton, giving you an idea of the distance covered and the remoteness of our journey.

Today from Bush camp is really a big, driving day, as we get up early to avoid the flies and then drive in 2 hour blocks, or to the nearest fuel station ., comfortable clothes today are a must.
Due to the remote nature of this section, we will take utmost care to ensure everyone stays hydrated and manages the heat appropriately. This day marks our furthest distance from civilization, and we will make sure everyone is comfortable and prepared for our bush camp tonight.

Day 5: Bush Camp to Yulara
Today we continue along the Great Central Highway through the sand dune country, making our way towards Yulara. As the day progresses, the scenery becomes increasingly striking as we move among some of Australia's most famous landmarks. Upon arrival at Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, we will head straight to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) for a 5km walk. Kata Tjuta, a group of large, ancient rock formations, offers a unique and awe-inspiring landscape with its domed shapes and rich cultural significance. This walk will allow you to explore the stunning valley of the winds up close and personal.
After the walk, it's a 50 minute drive to the campground, there will be full phone signal and facilities to catch up if you need to contact family, do washing or just relax by the pool.

Tonight, being in the campground, you will notice a difference in camping, when there are people in the area to the unique, quiet isolations of the outback.

Day 6: Yulara – Uluru and Kata Tjuta
Get ready for an unforgettable day! We start the morning with a sunrise to remember, gazing at the majestic Uluru as it lights up in the dawn. Our day continues with an exciting itinerary featuring a walk around and exploration of Australia's greatest icon, Uluru. Along the way, we'll hear from storytellers and traditional owners about their deep connection to the land.
We'll dive into the rich traditional stories (Tjukurpa) of the Anangu people, gaining a profound understanding of the culture surrounding the park.
After a full day of adventure, we'll move to a private camp down the road for a unique and comfortable overnight experience.

This is one of the most action-packed days on the itinerary, starting early at sunrise and finishing late with sunset. We'll ensure this day is as seamless and memorable as possible.

Day 7: Yulara to, Kings Canyon
Our final morning at Uluru begins with a last, memorable glimpse of the iconic rock before we bid it farewell in spectacular fashion – a thrilling 15-minute helicopter flight that provides a breathtaking aerial view of this magnificent landmark. After our airborne adventure, we embark on a three-hour drive past Curtin Springs Cattle Station. Stopping at the impressive Attila, also known as Mount Connor, along the way, the journey continues through the stunning George Gill Range, culminating in our arrival at a picturesque bush camp for afternoon.

Today's itinerary is somewhat flexible, depending on the helicopter flights in the morning. Regardless, we aim to reach our camp with plenty of time to enjoy yet another sunset overlooking the George Gill Range. With moderate driving and a few stops for photos, it promises to be a day filled with both adventure and relaxation.

Day 8: Kings Canyon to bush camp
Today begins with an early start to beat the heat as we embark on the breathtaking 6.5 km walk through Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. This stunning early morning hike takes us through the magnificent beehive domes, offering panoramic views of the canyon’s rugged beauty. The walk is a feast for the senses, with the unique rock formations and lush vegetation creating a truly memorable experience. We aim to finish just before the rangers close the walk for the day, ensuring we get the most out of this remarkable journey.
After our morning adventure, we take the Mereenie Loop, a scenic mining road, driving around to the northern side of the George Gill Range. Our destination is the west MacDonnell Ranges, where we’ll set up camp for the evening. Here, we’ll enjoy the grandeur of the mountains and the tranquility of the outback.

Day 9: bush camp to Palm Valley
Today, we awaken to the breathtaking beauty of the West MacDonnell Ranges, watching the world come to life amidst these stunning mountains. The serenity and grandeur of the landscape create a perfect backdrop for the start of our day.
After breakfast, we will embark on one of the many captivating walks in the range. The specific trail will be chosen by our guides, taking into account the group's walking ability and the weather conditions. The walks vary from moderate to difficult, ranging between 3 and 6 km, and offer a chance to immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the ranges, with opportunities to see unique flora and fauna along the way.
Post-walk, we’ll make our way to Palm Valley for the evening, a hidden gem known for its striking red cliffs and lush greenery, providing a stark contrast to the surrounding desert landscape.

Due to the remote nature of the West MacDonnell Ranges, the walks we undertake will depend on the availability of open tracks and seasonal closures. Our guides will ensure that the chosen route suits all walking abilities, balancing the day’s activities between walking and swim time to ensure a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Day 10: Palm Valley to Alice Springs
Today, we wake up with the birds and take a short drive into the heart of Palm Valley, where we will marvel at the unique Livistona mariae (Cabbage) palms. We'll embark on the short circuit walk, which takes us across the ridge and through the Finke River. As the day heats up, we'll walk amidst the beautiful deep burgundy stones and towering red cliffs, soaking in the stunning scenery.
After our morning walk, we tackle the rugged 4WD track out of the valley, heading towards Alice Springs. On our way, we'll visit the historic Hermannsburg Mission, offering a glimpse into the area's cultural heritage. Afterwards, it's a beautiful scenic drive into Alice Springs as we make our way along the West MacDonnell Ranges. all the way in.

On our last day in Alice Springs, after everyone has had a chance to freshen up, we will regroup for a memorable final meal together, reflecting on the incredible experiences and friendships formed throughout our adventure.
